Organization Overview
One Heart Family Ministries equips and supports Christian families fostering or adopting children from Missouri’s foster care system. Rooted in the unconditional love of Christ, the organization provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to families before, during, and after placement. One Heart fills a vital role in strengthening faith-based foster and adoptive care across the St. Louis metro area.
Partnership #1 (2025)
One Heart seeks to hire a full-time Family Connections Specialist to meet the growing needs of its network of more than 550 trained foster and adoptive families. This new role will coordinate events, manage communications, and strengthen critical support systems that sustain families before, during, and after placement. To date, One Heart has facilitated 375 adoptions and trained 563 families, with interest continuing to grow each year. The Brown Sisters Foundation awarded a grant to support this staffing investment and established a challenge-grant goal to encourage additional philanthropic support, helping One Heart expand capacity and ensure long-term, meaningful care for foster and adoptive families.
